1. Control pain and inflammation
PRICE (protect, rest, ice, compression, elevation)
2. Optimize range of motion
Active and passive exercises
3. Optimize strength
Isometric (static muscle contraction without joint movement), isotonic (constant muscle contraction with joint movement), dynamic and core strengthening exercises.
4. Optimize proprioception
Balance
5. Functional and sport specific skills
Running, jumping, pivoting etc.
6. Return to usual activities or sport
